Designed to emulate the way in which strobe lights capture and reflect light on the face, Ambient™ Strobe Lighting Powders contain a more concentrated level of micro-pearl particles in varying sizes and refraction levels than the original Ambient Lighting Powders. Combined with a sheerer base, the powders impart a highlight to the face in its purest form without masking the skin beneath it.

Directions

Suggested Usage:

For a soft, sheer highlight:

-Sweep the angled side of the AmbientÆ Strobe Light Sculptor across the powder and apply to the tops of your cheekbones, bridge of nose and cupidís bow.

-Gently blend in with the flocked side for a smooth finish.


For a more intense highlight:

-Dampen the angled side of the Ambient Strobe Light Sculptor and sweep across the powder.

-Apply to the tops of your cheekbones, bridge of the nose, and cupidís bow.

-Gently blend in with the flocked side for a smooth finish.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ambient glow, Hourglass does it best Ambient is apt as this product gives a soft, almost imperceptible gleam when applied. it makes the comp,exion look fresh and naturally glowing. I have several shades and they all create the same effect with varying subtle shades. This is by far the best product of this kind on the market.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost Perfect Having spent too much money lately trying to find a replacement for my all time favourite highlighter (from another brand and discontinued) I am quite happy with this one from Hourglass. I use only powders (loose mineral make up) and so I already love the powder form in a highlighter, and this truly is, as many reviewers say; finely milled. It also, as described, does give off a beautiful glow to your skin without being overpowering, as while also being sheer it doesn't mask the face or look 'metallic'. So far my skin doesn't seem to have any adverse reaction to it either which I'm happy about (as it can be very sensitive, and I have Rosacea). It doesn't quite sit as beautifully over time as my previous favourite, but tend to accentuate the quite thin lines on my forehead after just an hour or so of wear, even with a very light application of it. Which is why it's not a 5 star for me. I am very fair and pale at the moment (dark blonde and green eyes) and got the 'Incandescent' tone, which perhaps I was hoping to be a tiny bit warmer than it is on my skin. The tone IS described as an 'Opalescent Pearl' so I should probably have expected a hint of 'pearly' (slightly cold / turquoise) effect to the light it gives off. That said I do think it is very flattering on my fair complexion and it does look natural on the skin with regards to undertones and what would be a 'natural glow'. Another reviewer is mentioning the 'pinky shade' (guessing that refers to the 'Iridescent' tone described as an 'Illuminating Pink') to be 'great for their fair complexion and looking extremely natural' so I'd be curious to try that one next. I am happy enough with the quality to also want to give either tone 'Brilliant' or 'Euphoric' a go as well, but might wait until I've hopefully got at least a slight tan. Closer to that coveted 'glass skin' with this and no glitter particles in sight. Beautiful..!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light giving, makes look more awake My first order. Sali Hughes beauty editor of Guardian recommended this as part of routine to combat looking tired. I'm new to powder, so not expert at applying, but this adds light to cheeks, forehead, nose and chin. Told l look well when using. Will try to be consistent. Think l need fatter brush to apply.

I have a medium skintone, which tans easily, though during the winter I can look sallow. Which shade would best boost and illuminate my complexion? Many thanks
