An exfoliating toner for targeting dullness, texture and signs of aging.

Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution is an exfoliant targeted at the surface of the skin. It helps improve skin clarity, balance uneven skin tone, and correct texture over time. This formula contains a Tasmanian Pepperberry derivative of plant origin which varies in colour seasonally and this colour variation may be apparent in the formula from time to time.

This formula should not be used on sensitive, peeling or compromised skin. Please refer to additional sun protection note and other warnings in provided directions.

This pH of this formula is approximately 3.6. Glycolic Acid has a pKa of 3.6 and pKa is the most important aspect to consider in formulating with acids. pKa implies acid availability. When pKa is close to pH, there is an ideal balance between salt and acidity, maximizing effectiveness of the acid and reducing irritation.

Directions

Use ideally in the PM. no more frequently than once per day. After cleaning. saturate a cotton pad with the formula and sweep across face and neck. Avoid the eye contour and contact with eyes. Do not rinse off. Continue with additional skin treatments as needed. If persistent irritation occurs. discontinue use and consult a physician. (Sunburn Alert: This product contains an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen. wear protective clothing. and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards. Use only as directed. Contact of the product with the skin must be of limited frequency or duration.)

I now use the Glycolic toner 2-3 times a week + E45 cream after - it works for me, as my skin texture changed since my pregnancy. But yeah - this

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Exfoliation for the body I’ve been using this product on my face and all over my body 3-4 times a week at night. When use it on my body I leave it on over night by itself. My skin has been shining, glowing and lighter. When I get a few bumps or pimples this product makes it much smaller. The only place I can’t use it is under my arms, it irritates it. I use this the day before I shave and my skin looks much better. I use to have strawberry legs and razor bumps from shaving all over my body. It’s almost all gone. I put a dent in this bottle from so many uses. I bought the big bottle. Please don’t discontinue this product. It’s not perfect but it does so much good for my oily skin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Confused The instructions for this amazing toner say not to combine or use with other acids, peptides, direct vitamin C, niacinamide…which eliminates the remainder of my routine products. I see many others commenting that they are combining without issues. Is there a recommended serum or moisturizer to combine? So far I do love this product and have had no reactions!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MIRACLE WORKER! Why didn't I find this years ago! I'm in my mid-60s and I've never had good looking skin. Finally out of the acne stage, still on the oily side, but all with consequences: "cottage cheese" texture, large pores, typical uneven tone from tough teenage/20's acne. Starting getting those "old lady" clogged oil gland bumps that wouldn't turn into a pimples, but wouldn't go away. Also had an awesome pea-size, kinda mole-looking soft "bump" on my cheek that made a great profile... at HALLOWEEN!! I've always been diligent about cleaning and moisturizing my skin. I've been using The Ordinary moisturizing products for years, and love them. I randomly bought the large toner late Jan-2024. After no adverse reactions the first couple of nights so I began using nightly; what have I got to lose at the awesome price. I really saturate a cotton ball, reapply, swipe about three times. Yes, it's slightly "sticky" while drying, but after drying and applying moisturizer, it's fine for the night. (And amazing in the morning!) Now for my GREAT news! By mid-Feb-2024, I started noticing my clogged glands diminshing! Out of the close-knit trio, by the first of March, I had one small one left, and it continues to diminish! It's now mid-May and my "Halloween decor" is at least 75% GONE! And I still have about a half inch of toner left in the bottle. My skin feels tighter and firmer. No, it's not going to tranform to peachy 20-year old skin, but I can now graciously age with MUCH nicer and healthier skin, and much more confident in my appearance. (I'm still in the professional working world.) Nothing wrong with getting older, but also nothing wrong with fighting and striving to slow down the aging process. I can't wait to see how my skin looks this time next year. Even if it looks the same as it does today, that just means it doesn't look a year older! My only complaint: Why didn't I find this product years ago?!?!?!

If a product says don’t use with peptides, Vit c or retinoids and I’m using it at night when I DO use ordinary’s retinol products….then what? This is for daily use. Do I just let it dry and then use my peptides and retinoid products? Confusing. Thanks. And I don’t see anything on this page that lets me create a question so I’m doing it here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from After pregnant armpit SMELL AND SWEAT I’ve always sweated a lot from my armpits but after birth, OMG, my armpits had this strong foul odor and I couldn’t stop it with ANYTHING. Not to mention they even got darker. Believe me, I’ve used ALL kinds of deodorants, even clinical and expensive ones just to try to find a cure. I bought stuff for sweat and other products for smell. None of it worked. I researched for hours and bought something online that promises to keep you from smelling but not even that worked. I felt so hopeless until I found this!! I use it 3-4 times a week and I don’t sweat anymore!!! Well a little since I’m in Texas but I mean very ve try minimal and the smell???? GONE! For years I could’ve used this miracle product!! Oh and bonus, my puts are not not as dark as they used to be. They seem to get clearer by the day. This is a miracle 😭 I’ve never been so relieved. Get this!

It evened my skin tone and reduced redness of scarring OVERNIGHT, a few months later and my skin is now completely clear of acne and scarring. I started by using the product on a cotton bud as my skin is sensitive and there was no burning. I genuinely can not recommend this product enough. THANK YOU the ordinary, I am so happy :)
