Coused irritation on my face
I was really excited to try this product, however it caused very bad irritation and after 3 days my skin started peeling. I just dont understand as it was supposed to have the opposite effect.

Love It!
I was skeptical of this product at the beginning. But, after my redness got worse and the stinging became unbearable (all because of a sunscreen that I no longer use), I gave this a try and it has then become my go-to serum for morning and night. I have acne prone and combination skin but my acnes are reduced (not so much on the oiliness).

A hard pass
This is the first time I have rated a TO product with one star, and I honestly wanted to love this serum. I used it the day after I got a peel done, and over the following days, I developed small, close comedones, like a breakout. The only new addition to my routine was this serum.
I really wanted to like this serum, mostly because I intended to use it to soothe and repair my skin. However, it had the opposite effect—I even developed skin texture issues that I didn't have before. My dermatologist, who performed the peel treatment, said that my skin barrier was altered for some reason after I sent her the ingredients list.
Bear in mind that when I do these kinds of treatments, I stick to what the doctor says, and my routine gets simplified to only include repairing creams and fragrance-free hydrating serums.
This is a HUGE miss.

BAD SKIN REACTION
As did a lot of other people, I also had a terrible skin reaction. My skin became red and patchy and started tingling and burning (in spite of a patch test on my wrist the day before). terrible experience

Hydrating, but tingly :/
Good product! it helps with my dry irritated skin, and healed irritation from the niacinamide I was using. I use it at night about 3 times a week. the only thing is.. it makes my skin tingle immediately after putting it on, then its fine after 10 minuets..

Broke me out so so bad even after the patch test
I usually love ordinary products as most of them have helped my skin so much. I ordered this serum and it broke me out terribly. I tried to test it out like 5 times but my skin got cystic acne that has now left marks and it is painful. I patch tested as well, it was good then but soon after this serum, my skin just went so bad. Sharing pictures of before and after. Now, it’s taking me so much time to clear my skin up again. Very disappointing. First product to do this to me from The Ordinary. Now I’m a bit scared to order new products. Also, the serum leaves like a pink cast on skin.

Brought out dark spots
I blight this to reduce redness and used for about two weeks. Then I started to see dark spots pop up over the face. Stopped using it, the dark spots stayed but no more have popped up.
